Instant Broadcast vs Interakt (2026): Pricing, Features and the Refund Policy Compared

Last updated: 3 October 2026 Ā· Reading time: 9 minutes

Instant Broadcast vs Interakt: which is better?

Instant Broadcast is the better choice for most Indian SMEs. Both are official WhatsApp Business API platforms and Meta Business Partners, but only Instant Broadcast refunds 100% of your subscription within 30 days. It bills monthly from under ₹1,500, where Interakt's lowest monthly plan with WhatsApp is ₹2,799, and it includes the full chatbot flow builder in every plan.

Choose Instant Broadcast if you are a manufacturer, trader, clinic, coaching class or local brand that wants a low monthly fee, IndiaMART and TradeIndia lead automation, phone support, and a refund if the platform does not work for you.

Choose Interakt if you run a Shopify or WooCommerce store and want catalogue, cart recovery and cash-on-delivery workflows, or if you need Instagram and RCS alongside WhatsApp.

The rest of this guide shows the numbers behind that verdict, checked against both companies' public pages on 3 October 2026.

How much do Instant Broadcast and Interakt cost?

Instant Broadcast costs less each month and lets you pay month by month. Interakt's cheapest monthly plan with WhatsApp is ₹2,799, and its lower Starter price needs a quarterly or yearly prepayment.

1. Platform subscription

Instant Broadcast's starting plan is priced below ₹1,500 a month. Every plan includes broadcasting, the chatbot flow builder, contact manager, tags and the multi-agent inbox.

Interakt has Starter, Growth, Advanced and Enterprise plans. Billed monthly, Growth is ₹2,799 and Advanced is ₹3,799. The monthly Starter plan at ₹999 covers Instagram only. Starter with WhatsApp is sold on quarterly billing at ₹3,499 or yearly billing at ₹11,999, with a simpler chatbot and no Shopify integration.

Cost over 12 monthsInstant BroadcastInterakt Growth
Paying monthlyUnder ₹18,000₹33,588
Paying yearlyUnder ₹18,000₹26,399
Difference in a yearAt least ₹8,399 less with Instant Broadcast, even against Interakt's yearly discount

If the lowest possible fee matters more than features and you are willing to prepay a year, Interakt's Starter plan is cheaper. Like for like, with a chatbot builder and monthly billing, Instant Broadcast costs less.

2. The 2% convenience fee

Interakt's terms of service state that a convenience fee of 2% of the subscription fee is charged at the time of payment, and that the same fee applies to prepaid credits loaded for messages. On ₹50,000 of message credits, that is ₹1,000 extra. Factor it into any comparison of message rates.

3. Per-message rates

Meta's list rate for India is ₹0.8631 per marketing message and ₹0.115 per utility or authentication message, before 18% GST.

  • Instant Broadcast charges ₹1.12 per marketing message and ₹0.15 per utility, authentication or service message. These rates include GST, so they are what you pay.
  • Interakt prices messages by plan and before taxes. Its marketing rate was listed at ₹0.949 to ₹0.970 and its utility rate at ₹0.140 to ₹0.160 in August 2026. With 18% GST, that is about ₹1.12 to ₹1.14 for marketing and ₹0.17 to ₹0.19 for utility.

Marketing messages cost about the same on both. Utility messages, such as order updates and appointment reminders, cost less on Instant Broadcast.

Monthly volumeInstant BroadcastInterakt, with GST
50,000 marketing messages₹56,000₹55,991 to ₹57,230
20,000 utility messages₹3,000₹3,304 to ₹3,776

From 1 October 2026, Meta also charges for service messages after the first 1,000 free each month, and for utility templates sent inside the 24-hour window. This applies on every platform. Run your own volumes through the Instant Broadcast cost calculator.

Which one gives your money back?

Only Instant Broadcast. It refunds 100% of your subscription fee if you ask within 30 days, while Interakt states that subscription and message charges are non-refundable. No other difference in this comparison moves as much risk off the buyer.

How the Instant Broadcast guarantee works

  1. Subscribe to any Instant Broadcast plan and use the platform with your real customers.
  2. If you are not satisfied, contact support within 30 days of your payment.
  3. Your subscription fee is refunded in full.

The guarantee covers the platform subscription. Wallet balance spent on messages is not covered, because those charges are paid to Meta for messages already delivered. Third-party fees, such as number registration, are also outside it.

What Interakt's policy says

Interakt's FAQ says subscription charges and WhatsApp conversation charges are non-refundable. Its terms of service describe the subscription fee, prepaid credits and the convenience fee as non-refundable, and say the agreement renews automatically unless you revoke it in writing.

The terms give one exception. If Interakt fails its availability target for two months in a row, you may end the agreement and get fees refunded.

Why this matters for an SME

Interakt's 14-day trial is useful for a first look, though until your business is verified it limits you to messaging 10 unique users a day. A trial that short rarely shows whether your templates get approved, whether your team adopts the inbox, or whether your customers reply. Those answers come after you have paid. A 30-day refund covers exactly that period.

How do the features compare?

Both platforms cover the core jobs: template broadcasts, a shared inbox, chatbots and API access. Instant Broadcast is built around capturing and closing leads; Interakt is built around online stores.

Broadcasting and campaigns

Both send bulk broadcasts through Meta-approved templates to opted-in contacts, with delivery and read reports. Instant Broadcast includes broadcasting and the campaign scheduler in every plan and sends under your registered business name, with help applying for the verified badge.

Chatbots and AI

Instant Broadcast's chatbot flow builder is included in every plan, with an AI chatbot available as a paid add-on. Interakt's Growth plan comes with a basic chatbot; the advanced chatbot starts on the Advanced plan, and its WhatsApp AI agents are a paid add-on.

Lead capture for Indian B2B sellers

This is where Instant Broadcast is built differently. It connects directly to IndiaMART and TradeIndia, so a buyer inquiry triggers a WhatsApp reply, a catalogue and a follow-up within seconds. New leads are split across your sales team by round-robin. For manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters who live on these portals, that removes the manual copy-paste step where most leads go cold.

It also triggers messages from Google Sheets rows, Shopify form submissions and any CRM through REST webhooks.

Team inbox

Both give each agent a separate login on one WhatsApp number. Instant Broadcast's shared team inbox adds automatic round-robin and rule-based lead assignment, role permissions and supervisor analytics. Interakt allows unlimited team member logins on every plan, with advanced chat routing on its Advanced plan.

Offline and event tools

Instant Broadcast ships a physical QR standee for shops and showrooms, and an event manager that delivers branded photos to attendees on WhatsApp.

Which has better support and onboarding?

Instant Broadcast, if you want to talk to a person. It supports customers by direct phone call and screen-share, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm IST, with email replies in 2 to 4 hours. Onboarding help covers Meta Business Manager verification, template approval and the verified-badge application.

Interakt points customers to WhatsApp support, email, a resource centre and an academy. With more than 100,000 businesses on the platform, much of its support is designed around self-service.

When is Interakt the better choice?

Interakt is a strong product, run by Jio Haptik and used by more than 100,000 businesses. It beats Instant Broadcast in four situations.

  • You run a Shopify or WooCommerce store. Interakt has deep store features: catalogue, cart reminders, cash-on-delivery workflows and WhatsApp payments.
  • You sell on Instagram too. Interakt handles Instagram and RCS alongside WhatsApp.
  • You have a large team. Interakt allows unlimited team member logins on every plan.
  • You want the lowest fee and can prepay. Its Starter plan is ₹11,999 for a year, with a simpler feature set.

If none of these four describes you, the lower monthly fee, full chatbot builder and 30-day refund make Instant Broadcast the lower-cost, lower-risk choice.

How does Instant Broadcast compare with Interakt, AiSensy and Wati?

Of these four WhatsApp Business API platforms, Instant Broadcast is the only one that refunds your subscription, and it has the lowest monthly-billed paid plan. The other three state that paid subscriptions are non-refundable.

You keep your WhatsApp number when you move. Switching usually takes one working session with the onboarding team.

  1. Export your contacts, tags and opt-in records from Interakt as a CSV.
  2. Book a demo and tell the team you are migrating an existing API number.
  3. Turn off two-step verification on the number in your current provider so it can be moved.
  4. Connect the number to Instant Broadcast and confirm which approved templates carry over.
  5. Import contacts, rebuild your chatbot flows in the included flow builder, and send a small test broadcast.
  6. Check your Interakt renewal date and cancel in writing before it; the plan renews automatically and is not refundable.

Your 30-day money-back window on Instant Broadcast starts from your payment date, so you can test it with real campaigns before your decision is final.
