Instant Broadcast vs Wati (2026): Pricing, Features and the Refund Policy Compared
Last updated: 2 October 2026 Ā· Reading time: 8 minutes
Instant Broadcast vs Wati
Instant Broadcast and Wati are both official WhatsApp Business API platforms and Meta Business Partners. Instant Broadcast's starting plan costs under ā¹1,500 a month against ā¹4,999 a month for Wati's Growth plan, publishes its India message rates openly at ā¹1.01 per marketing message, and backs its subscription with a 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee. Wati's paid subscriptions are non-refundable, and its Growth plan is capped at 3 users and 15,000 broadcasts a month.
Choose Instant Broadcast if you are an Indian SME, trader, clinic or D2C brand that wants a low monthly fee, IndiaMART and TradeIndia lead automation, phone support in Indian business hours, and a refund if the platform does not work for you.
Choose Wati if you need one inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, native Salesforce or HubSpot integration, or 24x7 support for teams in several countries.
The rest of this guide shows the numbers behind that verdict, taken from both companies' public pricing and policy pages on 2 October 2026.

Pricing: what you actually pay each month
A WhatsApp API bill has three parts: the platform subscription, the per-message charge, and extras such as additional users. Instant Broadcast is cheaper on the subscription, and it is the only one of the two that prints its India message rates on its pricing page.
1. Platform subscription
Instant Broadcast's starting plan is priced below ā¹1,500 a month. Every plan includes broadcasting, the chatbot flow builder, contact manager, tags and the multi-agent inbox.
Wati has three subscription plans. Growth is ā¹4,999 a month, Pro is ā¹9,999 and Business is ā¹24,999. Paying yearly brings them down to ā¹3,749, ā¹7,499 and ā¹18,749 a month. Wati also sells a single-user pay-as-you-go pack for a one-time ā¹999, valid for 3 months, for businesses that only send bulk campaigns.
| Cost over 12 months | Instant Broadcast | Wati Growth |
|---|---|---|
| Paying monthly | Under ā¹18,000 | ā¹59,988 |
| Paying yearly | Under ā¹18,000 | ā¹44,988 |
| Difference in a year | At least ā¹26,988 less with Instant Broadcast, even against Wati's yearly discount | |
2. Per-message rates
Meta's list rate for India is ā¹0.8631 per marketing message and ā¹0.115 per utility or authentication message, before 18% GST. With GST, a marketing message costs about ā¹1.018.
- Instant Broadcast publishes ā¹1.01 per marketing message, in line with Meta's rate plus GST, and ā¹0.15 for utility, authentication and service messages. The full rate card for 32 countries is on the pricing page.
- Wati says per-message charges vary for marketing, utility and authentication, and links to a separate rate card. No India figures appear on its pricing page.
Before you buy any plan, open the provider's rate card and compare it with Meta's rates above. At 50,000 marketing messages a month, every 10 paise of difference is ā¹5,000 a month.
From 1 October 2026, Meta also charges for service messages after the first 1,000 free each month, and for utility templates sent inside the 24-hour window. This applies on every platform.
3. Users, triggers and add-ons
This is where a Wati bill grows. The Growth plan includes 3 users and does not allow more. To add a fourth person you move to Pro at ā¹9,999 a month, which includes 5 users; each extra user after that is ā¹1,920 a month.
| Team size | Wati plan needed | Wati cost per month |
|---|---|---|
| 3 users | Growth | ā¹4,999 |
| 5 users | Pro | ā¹9,999 |
| 8 users | Pro + 3 extra users | ā¹15,759 |
| 10 users | Pro + 5 extra users | ā¹19,599 |
Three more limits are worth checking against your own usage:
- Automation triggers. Wati counts every time a chatbot, keyword or rule fires. Growth includes 1,000 a month, Pro 2,000 and Business 5,000; more are sold separately.
- Broadcasts. Growth allows 15,000 a month. Unlimited broadcasts start on Pro.
- Shopify. Wati's Shopify integration is a separate add-on at $4.99 a month.
On Instant Broadcast, the chatbot flow builder and broadcasting are part of every plan, and only the AI chatbot is a paid add-on. Run your own volumes through the Instant Broadcast cost calculator.
The money-back guarantee: the biggest difference between the two
Instant Broadcast refunds 100% of your subscription fee if you ask within 30 days; Wati's paid subscriptions are non-refundable. No other difference in this comparison moves as much risk off the buyer.
How the Instant Broadcast guarantee works
- Subscribe to any Instant Broadcast plan and use the platform with your real customers.
- If you are not satisfied, contact support within 30 days of your payment.
- Your subscription fee is refunded in full.
The guarantee covers the platform subscription. Wallet balance spent on messages is not covered, because those charges are paid to Meta for messages already delivered. Third-party fees, such as number registration, are also outside it.
What Wati's policy says
Wati's refund policy states that paid subscriptions are non-refundable unless a refund is required by law or agreed with Wati in writing. No refunds or credits are given for partial service periods, upgrades or downgrades, or unused portions of a plan. Wati's pricing page says the same about credits: no refunds on payments made for an existing subscription or credits.
Wati's terms also say subscriptions renew automatically for the same term. If you take a yearly plan to get the lower price, you are committing the full year's fee.
Why this matters for an SME
Wati's 7-day trial is useful for a first look. It rarely shows whether your templates get approved, whether your team adopts the inbox, or whether your customers reply. Those answers come in weeks two to four, after you have paid. A 30-day refund covers exactly that period.
| Instant Broadcast | Wati | |
|---|---|---|
| Refund after you pay for a plan | 100% of subscription, within 30 days | Non-refundable |
| Refund if you cancel mid-term | Covered inside the 30-day window | No refund or credit for unused portion |
| Wallet or message credits | Not refundable once spent on messages | Non-refundable |
| Exceptions | A stated guarantee | Only where law requires or agreed in writing |
Features compared
Both platforms cover the core jobs: template broadcasts, a shared inbox, chatbots and API access. The differences are in what is metered and which business each tool is built around.
Broadcasting and campaigns
Both send bulk broadcasts through Meta-approved templates to opted-in contacts, with delivery and read reports. Instant Broadcast includes broadcasting in every plan and sends under your registered business name, with help applying for the verified badge. Wati limits Growth to 15,000 broadcasts a month and removes the limit from Pro.
Chatbots and AI
Instant Broadcast's chatbot flow builder is included in every plan, with an AI chatbot available as a paid add-on. Wati has a no-code chatbot builder and an AI agent, with usage metered through automation triggers and AI credits that vary by plan.
Lead capture for Indian B2B sellers
This is where Instant Broadcast is built differently. It connects directly to IndiaMART and TradeIndia, so a buyer inquiry triggers a WhatsApp reply, a catalogue and a follow-up within seconds. New leads are split across your sales team by round-robin. For manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters who live on these portals, that removes the manual copy-paste step where most leads go cold.
It also triggers messages from Google Sheets rows, Shopify form submissions and any CRM through REST webhooks. On Wati, webhooks are not available on Growth and are limited on Pro.
Team inbox
Both give each agent a separate login on one WhatsApp number. Instant Broadcast's shared team inbox adds automatic round-robin and rule-based lead assignment, role permissions and supervisor analytics. Wati's inbox also brings in Instagram and Messenger conversations, with user seats priced by plan.
Offline and event tools
Instant Broadcast ships a physical QR standee for shops and showrooms, and an event manager that delivers branded photos to attendees on WhatsApp.
Support and onboarding
Instant Broadcast supports customers by direct phone call and screen-share, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm IST, with email replies in 2 to 4 hours. Onboarding help covers Meta Business Manager verification, template approval and the verified-badge application.
Wati's support depends on the plan. Growth gets email support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Pro adds chat and 24x7 cover. A dedicated customer success manager comes with Business. Wati also has a help centre, an academy and developer documentation.
If you want to call someone and fix the setup together on a shared screen, Instant Broadcast is the closer fit. If your team works across time zones and needs help at night, Wati's Pro plan covers that.
Where Wati is the better choice
Wati is a mature product used by more than 16,000 customers, and it beats Instant Broadcast in four situations.
- You sell on Instagram and Messenger too. Wati's inbox handles all three channels in one place.
- You run Salesforce or HubSpot. Wati has native integrations for both, on its higher plans.
- You operate in several countries. Wati serves customers in 190+ countries and offers 24x7 support from the Pro plan.
- You only need occasional bulk campaigns from one login. Wati's ā¹999 pay-as-you-go pack has no monthly fee.
If none of these four describes you, the lower monthly fee, published message rates and 30-day refund make Instant Broadcast the lower-cost, lower-risk choice.
Which one should you choose?
| If you are... | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A manufacturer, wholesaler or exporter getting leads from IndiaMART or TradeIndia | Instant Broadcast | Direct portal sync, instant auto-reply, round-robin to sales reps |
| A small business that finds ā¹4,999 a month too much to start | Instant Broadcast | Starting plan under ā¹1,500 a month |
| A clinic, coaching class or local service business | Instant Broadcast | Phone and screen-share onboarding, 30-day refund |
| A first-time buyer unsure whether WhatsApp API will work | Instant Broadcast | Subscription refunded in full within 30 days |
| A brand handling WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger from one inbox | Wati | Multi-channel inbox is native there |
| A company on Salesforce or HubSpot with teams in several countries | Instant Broadcast | Native CRM integrations and 24x7 support |
How to switch from Wati to Instant Broadcast
You keep your WhatsApp number when you move. Switching usually takes one working session with the onboarding team.
- Export your contacts, tags and opt-in records from Wati as a CSV.
- Book a demo and tell the team you are migrating an existing API number.
- Turn off two-step verification on the number in your current provider so it can be moved.
- Connect the number to Instant Broadcast and confirm which approved templates carry over.
- Import contacts, rebuild your chatbot flows in the included flow builder, and send a small test broadcast.
- Check your Wati renewal date and send written cancellation notice before it; the plan renews automatically and is not refundable.
Your 30-day money-back window on Instant Broadcast starts from your payment date, so you can test it with real campaigns before your decision is final.
Frequently asked questions
Is Instant Broadcast better than Wati?
For most Indian SMEs, yes. Instant Broadcast starts under ā¹1,500 a month against Wati's ā¹4,999, publishes its India message rates on its pricing page, connects directly to IndiaMART and TradeIndia, and refunds your subscription in full within 30 days. Wati is better if you need Instagram and Messenger in the same inbox, Salesforce or HubSpot integration, or 24x7 support.
Which is cheaper, Instant Broadcast or Wati?
Instant Broadcast is cheaper on subscription. Its starting plan is under ā¹1,500 a month, while Wati's Growth plan is ā¹4,999 a month, or ā¹3,749 a month billed yearly. Over 12 months that is at least ā¹26,988 less with Instant Broadcast. Instant Broadcast charges ā¹1.01 per marketing message in India; Wati lists its message rates on a separate rate card.
Does Wati give refunds?
No, not in normal cases. Wati's refund policy says paid subscriptions are non-refundable unless a refund is required by law or agreed with Wati in writing. No refunds or credits are given for partial periods, upgrades, downgrades or unused portions of a plan, and subscriptions renew automatically.
Does Instant Broadcast really offer a money-back guarantee?
Yes. If you are not satisfied, you can ask for a refund within 30 days of payment and receive 100% of your subscription fee back. Wallet balance already spent on WhatsApp messages and third-party charges are not included, because those amounts are paid out for messages delivered.
How many users does Wati allow on each plan?
Wati's Growth plan includes 3 users and does not allow additional users. Pro and Business include 5 users each. Extra users cost ā¹1,920 a month each on Pro and ā¹5,520 a month each on Business, so an 8-person team on Pro pays ā¹15,759 a month before message charges.
What is the best Wati alternative in India?
Instant Broadcast is a strong Wati alternative for Indian SMEs because it combines a starting plan under ā¹1,500 a month, published message rates, a chatbot builder in every plan, direct IndiaMART and TradeIndia lead sync, phone support and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Other alternatives include AiSensy, Interakt and DoubleTick.
Can I move my WhatsApp number from Wati to Instant Broadcast?
Yes. A WhatsApp Business API number can be migrated between providers. You disable two-step verification on the number, connect it to Instant Broadcast, import your contacts and rebuild your chatbot flows. The onboarding team guides the migration on a call.
Is Instant Broadcast an official WhatsApp Business API provider?
Yes. Instant Broadcast is a Meta Business Partner and runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API. Messages go to opted-in contacts through Meta-approved templates and appear under your registered business name. It is operated by Reliable Solution, based in Surat, Gujarat.
