Create a Message Template

WhatsApp requires pre-approved templates for business-initiated messages (outside the 24-hour customer reply window). Here’s how to create a template in Instantbroadcast:
- Log In to the App
- Open the Instantbroadcast app and log in.
- Go to Broadcast Screen
- Navigate to the “Broadcast” section in the app’s menu or dashboard.
- Access Manage Product Tab
- In the Broadcast section, go to the “Manage Product” tab.
- Click the “Add” button to start creating a new template.
- Enter Template Details
- Template Name: Enter a unique name (e.g., order_confirmation). Use lowercase alphanumeric characters and underscores.
- Template Type: Select the type (Marketing, Utility, or Authentication).
- Marketing: For promotions or offers.
- Utility: For transactional updates (e.g., order status).
- Authentication: For one-time passcodes.
- Template Language: Choose the language (e.g., English, Spanish).
- Template Body Content: Write the message text. Use placeholders (e.g., {{1}}, {{2}}) for dynamic content like names or order IDs. Example: Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} is on its way!
- Template Footer Content: Add optional footer text (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”).
- Buttons (Optional): Add up to 1 URL/call-to-action button or up to 3 quick-reply buttons (max 25 characters each). Example: “Track Order” URL button.
- Preview the Template
- Click “Preview Template” to review how the message will appear to users.
- Submit for Review
- Click “Send Template for Review” to submit the template to Meta for approval.
- Monitor Approval Status
- Wait for Meta’s review (typically 24-48 hours).
- Check the “Manage Template” section to see the status (Pending, Approved, Rejected).
- Once approved, the template is ready for use in campaigns.
Tip: Avoid overly promotional language in Utility templates to increase approval chances. If rejected, review Meta’s feedback and edit the template.
